Shoulder or neck pain? Our dedicated team of therapists have got you sorted.

Here at Active Hand Therapy, we are passionate about using the most up to date evidence to inform our practice. This ensures we are using treatment techniques that will provide the best outcomes for our patients.

Did you know that our therapists dedicate extensive hours to continuing professional development, including specilaised courses offered by the Australian Hand Therapy Association. This ensures we are the best in our field!

Shoulder Education at Active

  • Our fantastic team recently attended a shoulder education presentation led by our senior Physiotherapists, Miles and Claire

  • During this session, we reviewed clinical tests for common neck and shoulder conditions, the most effective treatment options, and when it is appropriate to refer on.

  • Our team is the preferred referrer of many doctors on the Gold Coast for shoulder injuries. This is due to our specilaity in upper limb conditions and the often complex interplay between hand, shoulder and neck pain

Screening Shoulder Conditions

  • We often see that symptoms impacting the hand or elbow are actually stemming from the neck or shoulder. Our Occupational Therapists are trained in screening for injuries or conditions impacting the neck and shoulder so we can ensure to get you on the right treatment path
